Additional Offices At Leith Docks

Bredero Shaw in Leith contacted us to discuss their requirement for additional used office facilities. They needed a large open plan office space with eleven further offices, four client offices, a client lounge / lunch room , male and female offices facilities and a disabled toilet. All of the offices that overlooked the open plan area needed to have large windows in the partition walls.

The building we suggested was a pre-owned 12m x 30m ten bay modular building which had previously been used as a nursery building. This building had a high specification, but it was the wrong internal layout as it stood. We quoted to completely reconfigure the internal layout to Bredero Shaw’s exact requirements. Even though this was a full and involved refurbishment we kept the reconfiguration costs within our client’s budget and we were successful in obtaining the order to proceed.

The building was located on our own site, so we carried out all of the extensive modification works prior to delivering the building.

We completed the building alterations on time and on budget and proceeded to the installation stage, when we arrived on site the day before delivery to fit the jack pad foundations. The next day the crane arrived at 7am and we installed five modules the first day and the remaining five modules the second day. We remained on site for a further seven days to complete works on this large building.

Our client was delighted with the quality of this refurbishment and reconfiguration. We had stripped out the existing partitions and fully rebuilt the internal layout with new partitions, toilet areas, electrics and floor coverings. This was completed to a very high standard, and as a consequence the company were motivated to send Martin, our Project Director, a really pleasing thank you letter.
