What are Jack Legs?
Jack Legs are the four steel legs that are fitted on the outside of a portable building and which serve a number of purposes:
- The portable building is loaded onto a wagon using either a crane or a high-ab craned vehicle. The four chains of a crane are each attached to the four Jack Legs and are used to load the building onto the transportation and unload the building at its destination.
- The four Jack Legs sit on the ground and keep the floor of the Jack Leg cabin off the ground.
- The Jack Legs can be adjusted in height to enable the portable building to be levelled on uneven ground.
