We are pleased to have been chosen to supply Caravan Park Electrical Services Ltd  in Lincolnshire with a new manufactured 9.6m x 3m jack leg cabin. The building is divided into two offices and has a central corridor with a base unit, sink and wall unit.

CPES Ltd are a successful company with lovely staff. They liked our building and service so much, that they have now gone on to order one of our new manufactured 2 bay  Clearview Modular Buildings for delivery in September.

Well it’s that time of year again, the time that’s described in our industry as being “Silly Season”.

This because all of the schools want their modular classrooms and buildings during the school summer holidays. This puts a strain both on us and other related industries as the demand for transport, cranes, temporary roads, ground-works companies and installation crews is extremely high.

We therefore have to work on a “first ordered, first served” basis… and many schools now place the orders for their buildings in January and February, thereby ensuring that they can be delivered and installed during this busy period.

The same also applies for half terms and Easter, but did you know that we will deliver your modular building over a weekend at no extra cost, so you can take delivery in term time?

That’s an invaluable facility for avoiding the holiday congestion!

Now here’s another stor(e)y for Kilnbridge Construction.

It was only 6 weeks ago that we completed a project to supply Kilnbridge Construction with a 16 section 8 on 8 double storey used Elliott building in London.

Now they have decided to make the building three storeys, so they have come back to us to supply them with a further 8 sections of the same used Elliott building as a “Trade Sale” and the building will be installed in this coming week.

Kibblesworth Academy had been awaiting planning consent for further accommodation space, and having only just achieved that consent, we’re refurbishing  a pre-owned Portakabin Duplex 5 bay modular building for them, at very short notice.

We are timber cladding the exterior in our beautiful and highly durable thermowood treated cladding, and supplying our trademark new airy Clearview windows. We’re also fully refurbishing the interior… no pressure then!

The building has to be completed and installed by the start of the new term – and the summer holidays are a peak period for deliveries and installations – but we pride ourselves on our customer service, and we are determined and committed to get this done for them.

As always, we will “go the extra mile” for our customers, old and new.

The team down at Santa Pod were mightily impressed with the new Thermowood portable building which we supplied them with in April.

When they required a further new building at very, very short notice… well there was of course no one else to look to but Portable Building Sales, once again.

Their latest requirements were for a 16’ x 9’ cabin to be delivered absolutely as soon as possible, so as to be ready for the imminent  race day.

This next building may have been a slight downsize on the 20’ x 9’ cabin they ordered first time around, but we still manufactured and delivered this building to their site from a standing start, in two weeks flat!

Despite our record construction, delivery and installation time, our overriding priority is always long term customer satisfaction and the overall quality of our buildings.

We’re very pleased to relate that once again the Santa Pod management were delighted with their new building, and also with how very quickly we managed to get it to them!

Ripplevale School are utilising our full planning, building control and groundworks services, as well as our accommodation provision, to facilitate the consolidation of their lower school pupils onto one site.

The school are purchasing a large pre-owned 9 bay on 9 bay double storey classroom complex, which we are relocating to their site in Deal from south west London over this summer holiday period.

In this instance, the building is being supplied in its existing layout, with a full redecoration of the interior plus new suspended ceilings. We’re installing a temporary track way across a grassed area to access installation, and reinstating and recommissioning.

An increasing number of schools and companies are taking advantage of our complete services package, from initial planning to commissioning – it saves customers a great deal of trouble grappling with unfamiliar tasks, and we then have a complete handle on the process throughout.

Our MD has just sponsored our good friend and ex PBS employee, Trev Watts, on his 250 mile Belgian cycle trip for Dove House Hospice. This is a wonderful charity, undertaking  a really sensitive job… their website is well worth looking at.

Trev cycled through Belgium with his friends, and visited the famous Waterloo battle site. They cycled 240 miles in all, including a 70 mile Zeebrugge to Sint Nicklass first day, a 50 mile second cycle to Waterloo, then on to Ghent and back to Zeebrugge, via Bruges.

We’re wondering if the internal fitting out will be to a yachting specification, and we’re looking forward to seeing further photos. This little cabin should do them proud – and they’ve not had to “splash out” excessively to get it, either!

We are pleased and happy to supply Priory Academy, based in Dunstable, with a new manufactured three classroom facility, due to their expanding pupil numbers.

This ten section modular building is being manufactured with a specification tailored to the Academy’s exact requirements. As an example, in this particular instance, the current site set up means that, unusually, they don’t require any further toilet provision to be built in.

Our range of new modular buildings are extremely cost effective, and high quality… in fact the academy were originally going to purchase a pre-owned building from us.

The building is due to be supplied in August, over the Academy holiday period, so site disruption will be kept to an absolute minimum.

We can only report that the whole process was completed to the delight of our customer… and that always really matters to us.

Because of a record year with increased turnover and profit, we have had to employ a new sales person to assist in our extremely busy sales office.

Andy will initially be responsible for all new jack leg cabin enquiries and sales and will also be helping our sales team with the processing of sales.

We are happy to be providing a brand new 32’ x 10’ two office portable building to the very nice people at Cawthorne 4 x 4 Ltd, who are based in South Cave, East Yorkshire.

They have been hiring a sales office from us for some time, but they needed a larger one to accommodate more staff. We have consequently had a new portable building manufactured to their exact specification.

Cawthorne 4 x 4 Ltd specialise in quality used 4 wheel drive cars. We are sure that our smart new building will provide a secure and warm cosseting environment, to match their vehicles.

We are delighted to have taken an order from ABP (Europe’s leading privately owned food processors) who are hiring a new Clearview modular building  from us for use as a training room.

This modular training room is to be located at their premises in Shrewsbury. Incidently, it doesn’t seem that long since we were working in Shrewsbury –  when we provided a building to Shrewsbury Town football club.

We are delighted to have completed a contract to supply Tarmac Trading Ltd with a number of new manufactured buildings for one of their quarry sites in the Midlands.

The contract was to supply the following buildings:

·         A double storey Engineering office facility

·         A modular administrative building

·         A canteen / dining facility

·         A welfare / shower facility

·         A security office

The buildings were all finished in light grey with dark grey contrasting trims and dark grey framed windows, and our client is highly delighted with both the end product and the professionalism of our site installation teams.

It’s not every day that we’re involved in the high octane world of motorsport, but we’ve sold one of our special thermowood clad, full length windowed jack leg cabins to the world famous Santa Pod Raceway in Podlington.

We’re so busy that, even under full acceleration, we can just sprint to a seven week delivery time on this occasion. The cabin will not compete with any Santa Pod dragsters, either, as it speeds down the motorway network to them, but it’s considerably warmer, drier and safer once on site!

Having seen examples of all sorts of comedy vehicles racing, with bodywork simulating a wide variety of structures or animals, it might have been amusing to see this building actually on the drag strip, haulage company insurances permitting. 

Sadly, we believe it is going to lead a more sedate life as office accommodation, albeit in an exciting motorsport environment! 

Ahoy, and shiver me timbers, a nautical flavour to this blog about a cabin for Universal Yachting, Southampton. Built to their exact specification, this little beauty is thermowood clad, and will be ready for launch in May, so they’re clearing the decks for delivery.

All hands will be catered for within the capacious interior, which will be warm and comforting when the weather means there’s a need to batten down the hatches. 

We’ve a first-rate record for fitting out appropriately, and whilst it may not be their flagship accommodation, it has plenty of space to swing your hammock. 

Maritime use means comprehensive waterproofing… standard with our cabins… though we’ve not been asked to go overboard with anything else. 

It will all be squared away shortly, without anyone having to make waves about it, so I’ll stop now, before I get the wind taken out of my sails for not being “punny” any more! 

St John’s School in Billericay, Essex, recently bought an impressive canteen building from us. Their students called it the “Savoy Grill” because of the excellence of the facilities. The school have now confirmed their repeat business order for a double storey genuine used Portakabin Duplex modular building.

This building will be fully refurbished internally, with new LED lighting, new heat / cool air conditioning and new electrics and power points. It will shortly have new vinyl faced white plasterboard walls throughout, and be ready for delivery and installation in July.

We recently supplied Trackwork in Doncaster with a 2 section modular training room facility and it has been such a success that they have already outgrown it.

So Trackwork contacted us to see if we could supply another building which will be linked into the original building to provide two further training rooms. 

We are now going to supply them with a fully refurbished 12m x 6m modular building which will be decorated externally to match their existing building. We are pleased when things can “click together” like this – just like our buildings! 

We are pleased to be supplying Watford General Hospital with a used 4 section open plan modular building as a “Trade Sale” and at a reduced cost.

They have decided to buy the building and make any alteration themselves. The building will be delivered in a few days time and is to be used as an interim Physiotherapy Unit.

Ryder’s commercial vehicle operation in Devizes required one of our cabins, extended to provide room for an extra door, as well as a toilet, office space for 4 to 6 people, and a changing area.
