PBS have had a record month, taking nearly 2 million pounds worth of orders.

Satisfyingly, most of these orders come from previous customers, which is testament to both our products and our staff.

We always strive to give all of our customers the high quality buildings they need, to an agreeable price and time frame. We have excellent, experienced office and installation staff, who are always mindful of our customers requirements.

Our expertise allows us to suggest innovative options and alternatives to provide accommodation specifications which fulfil current and anticipated needs. As a direct consequence, our previous customers regularly and instinctively return to us.

This was an interesting installation of a straightforward building, like undertaking keyhole surgery at arm’s length.

The independent boys school had a small available area measuring just 13m by 5m, into which we inserted a 12m by 3.6m building containing two group teaching areas. About as tight as it comes! Trees had to be trimmed, power and BT lines had to be accommodated and rerouted, access steps had to be avoided… and at full stretch.

To further complicate matters, this land was on a significant slope. We suggested a jackleg rather than a modular building solution to accommodate the gradient without extensive foundation and levelling costs.

Access from the school site was impossible, so we arranged a large 100 tonne crane, with a massive 24 metre reach, to reach right over to the space from land adjacent to the school.

This was a relatively small building, but the care and experience needed to complete the installation was significant.

We have the capacity to do this, and our willingness to undertake such contracts really exemplifies our customer care – and our capabilities.

Despite 30 years experience in the industry, we’ve never previously been asked to mark the installation of a building with the burial of a bible. By a complete coincidence, it was apparently 23 years to the day since the church group had initially leased the land the new building now stands on. We helped the baptist community acknowledge this by placing a copy of the bible adjacent to the foundations.

This 5 bay building has been fully refurbished, with new Clearview windows, the latest LED lighting, new air conditioning, new interior plasterboard lined walls plus a refurbished exterior. There are 1:1 prayer rooms, a further prayer room, an office, toilets and a communal area.

It has taken the Baptist Church over a year to fulfill the planning and tree survey requirements in order to install the building down Leafy Lane in Maidstone – and they are highly delighted with the result fixbodygroup.com. We hope that the bible remains intact as a lasting testament to the support that this group gives to the community.

We always like to help people whenever possible. In this instance we are supporting the daughter of our longest serving employee, Steve Ellerington. Steve is the yard and on site supervisor, and his daughter has the opportunity to dance in New York in an International competition in October 2017!

Portable Building Sales started the fund rolling and since then Steve and his daughter have been raising money for the trip. Whatever their shortfall, Portable Building Sales has said they will give her the difference for her opportunity for success.

Steve’s daughter Elisha has won many, many UK competitions and has a bedroom full of trophies. We wish her well and hope that she achieves her dreams of becoming a dancer in the West End of London.

We are delighted to be supplying a new Clearview Modular Building to Second Steps Nursery in Essex.

We always carry a standard new Clearview Modular Building on stock, in case a client needs the building within a few days. This is our first step to supplying Second Steps so quickly!

In this particular instance, we have also additionally fitted two toilets and a kitchen area into what was an open plan building. We will also be decorating the top fascia in the correct blue to match the branding of the Day Nursery.

We are delighted to have received an order to supply another large used modular building to Aggregate Industries. This is another superb extension to their accommodation requirements!

The 38 section double storey building was originally purchased new by a College for use as classroom accommodation and is to be used in the future as office accommodation.

As usual, significant savings are to be made by purchasing a quality used modular building as opposed to a new manufactured equivalent building. Furthermore, we have the expertise to adjust any refurbishment to suit the client’s particular needs.

We have a Welsh office run by our very friendly and professional Peter Crew, who is based in North Wales. Peter has recently taken an order for a fully refurbished pre-owned double classroom from a school in Manchester.

We pride ourselves on the high quality and modern aesthetics of our refurbished buildings. The picture of this building amply illustrates how a thorough refurbishment can be virtually indistinguishable from a new building. This building now has new cladding, new Clearview windows and doors, new white vinyl faced plasterboard, new LED lighting and new power points throughout.

The building complies with the latest Part L2A building regulations and is to be delivered at the end of August in time for the new school term.

We have increasingly found ourselves supplying buildings to schools offering autism specialist support, over the past couple of years. This includes a purpose built double storey facility to Kingsley Special Academy in Kettering, and multiple cabins on hire to Options Barton, a local autistic spectrum school.

Autism Anglia provides a range of services to enable people with autism to live as independently as possible and experience choice and inclusion in society painterly.ie. They ordered a new 32′ x 10′ cabin from us, and our office manager was pleased to receive another positive response to the installation.

This was just the case when our Managing Director visited a Tarmac quarry to conduct a site survey for a further Clearview Modular Building we are supplying.

The school summer holidays are our busiest period and this year has been a record year for modular building installations.

Greenway Partnership Ltd were contracted to construct a new classroom space within the school, out of the previous toilet areas. They asked us to design and construct a 2 bay building toilet facility, to be connected through to the main building.

We have designed, constructed and installed the shell of this building, with partitions to the builder’s specifications. In this case, the contractors wish to install the sanitary fittings, and to finish the connection to the original building themselves. This made it possible to complete delivery and installation within just a single day.

The building looks resplendent in the school’s blue and white colours, and demonstrates how to release space within an original building by imaginative use of add on modular space.

In the last month we’ve delivered a toilet block cabin clad in our excellent thermowood option, with jack legs removed and a matching skirt added  to Hartpury College.

We’ve had further repeat business with PrepWorld, this time a training room / office, specifically made to exactly match their first building from us, delivered in October last year.

We’ve had another repeat business delivery to Goodrich Control Systems… that’s the the little security unit that looks so “tall and small” in the picture. We think it must be the smallest building we’ve ever made to bespoke requirements.

We have also supplied Tarmac again, but this time to their Bedale  quarry in N. Yorkshire. They’ve asked if we could manufacture, deliver and install an open plan meeting room within a very tight 4 week time span, which we managed to do within time frame for them.

All the repeat business we achieve illustrates our success in providing high quality buildings and excellent service. This month’s deliveries have been bespoke buildings, manufactured to our customer’s exact requirements.

Smeets Ferry transport company were looking for a specific size of office suites spaces, with an additional kitchen area and toilet facilities. This bespoke building comprises one of our Clearview 2 bay buildings, linked through to an adjacent new jackleg cabin.

The company have obtained the exact space and facilities they were looking for, in the company colours and with the attractive Clearview aesthetics. It was even installed a day early at the company UK depot in North Killingholme.

It is always heartening to receive such unsolicited praise… it reflects on our company values, which run right through all aspects of our operations.

This new Clearview building was originally ordered in a special one off 7.5m length instead of the usual 8.5m. The destination site was so tiny – as can be seen in the photo – that after the order was taken we were then asked to remove another 300mm to ensure the building fitted.

One of the many advantages of modular buildings is the ability to make these bespoke adjustments. Like a well fitting suit, we “tailor made” this building to slot straight in. With space at a premium in the NW2 London location, this light and airy Clearview building is now providing high quality accommodation for delighted clients.

Blackmoor Estates in Hampshire were looking for accommodation space for them to hire out to people using the estate. They have been highly delighted with the jackleg cabin purchased from us for this purpose.

No matter what the size of building – we always aim to please!

We are happy to be supplying Tarmac Trading yet again with more quality modular buildings.

Last year we supplied them with over £500,000 of new modular buildings for their Mount Sorrel quarry and we have just been asked to supply them with one of our unique two section Clearview Modular Buildings for the same site.

The building is currently being manufactured and will be delivered and installed in the next few weeks.

We are sometimes in a position to offer a trade sale to clients, and Reliant Products have the capacity to do any alterations or refurbishment necessary to this 8 bay building they recently purchased from us.

The building went straight from site to the new site, and this window company are delighted with the sheer amount of office accommodation space it was possible to purchase using the trade sale route. Sometimes demolition companies are asked to demolish perfectly good modular buildings, simply because the dismantling and removal costs are presumed to be prohibitive.

There are occasions when we can step in, and add a further purchase payment, in addition to helping the environment and refurbishing the building for future use.

A new 24’ x 9’ cabin order would normally be no problem… it’s a straightforward small building.

However, when HK Smith Accountancy phoned and explained that they needed the building built, delivered and in service on site within just 4 weeks, it was quite a tall order!

We pulled out all of the stops, and sure enough, we managed the whole process within the tight time frame.

Gateshead Rowing Club are absolutely delighted with their newly purchased three bay building. This building is fully fitted out to their exact specifications, with dedicated areas for training, male and female changing and showering, plus a clubroom section for eating and entertaining.

Kingsley Special Academy’s 16 section double storey new manufactured modular building is now completed, apart from internal and external handrail fitment. As we explained in  previous blogs, this building has bespoke high level windows and other particular features to suit this special educational use.

The building has been constructed to very specific Special Academy requirements, and brick slip cladding was specified. We are not often asked for this exterior finish, but it really works, and prevents the necessarily small high level windows from looking insignificant within a large wall area.

The school’s headteacher, business manager and staff are very pleased with the outcome. Carol Robinson, Special School Business Manager, explains:

We constructed and installed the new purpose designed building for Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance back in 2015. Since becoming aware of their work, we’ve really admired their exceptional efforts in saving lives across the country.

As a consequence, we have volunteered to sponsor them via their annual diary production ever since. Once again, we’ve made that a date, with a noteworthy entry in their diary.

The service produced an excellent time lapse video of our installation, which is well worth viewing.

We installed an L shaped dining room at Holy Family School last year, which they were absolutely delighted with. When another school was looking for similar accommodation, Holy Family very kindly offered to let them look at their building.

As a result of this, we subsequently received an order from the enquirer school.

Although Holy Family showed their colleagues round merely out of pure courtesy and kindness, we felt it only right that we should offer to provide Holy Family with an unsolicited gift of an electronic item for use with the pupils, to the value of £500.

This building consists of an entrance area with a toilet and disabled toilet, two laboratory areas, two office areas, a meeting room and an additional kitchen and server room.

The building was installed in just one day with a 60 ton crane, and handover will be completed within the week.

Often business slows towards December and the Christmas period, but this year we are fully committed to installing projects through December and well into January 2017, with orders already received for March and April 2017.

The winning combination of service and price which we offer across a wide selection of building types and sizes (both new and pre-owned) generates our healthy order book for the foreseeable future.

As a company, we like to give back to our community. Every year our MD makes at least one substantial donation to a local cause… and this year “The Dark Knight Rises” in our consciousness… meaning that Batman appeared on our donation radar!

Simon Moreton, a gas engineer from Hull with two children of his own, started this philanthropic work after his godson Kane was diagnosed with diabetes. He has selflessly poured countless hours of his own time into supporting disadvantaged and ill children. It’s fantastic that people like Simon respond to the giving spirit of the Christmas festivities in this way, so we in turn have supported him in supporting all of these local  children in need.

Batman Simon visited our premises… he’s “cape”able and quite a “Joker” as well… to collect the cheque. Batman encountered no “Penguins” other than our choccy biscuit selection before going off in his batmobile to our local toy outlets. Toys R Us helped further with discounts and vouchers, so he “Gotham” at a special price, with nobody “Robin” this man on a true mission of kindness!

A rare opportunity for any school short on space to obtain up to 18 modern classrooms in excellent order. This high specification modular building could also be split into one 10 and one 8 double storey classroom units.

With a plastic coated steel external finish with white double width uPVC double glazed windows, this building is available at a fraction of the cost to supply an equivalent new manufactured building.

Tiny Acorns Nursery in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire have ordered a 12m x 15m 5 bay Clearview nursery unit from us, for delivery in December.

Humber Ports Logistics visited our company premises to discuss their particular requirements for a new transport office complex at their Immingham base. We discussed all of the purchase options, including our refurbished pre-owned buildings.

The company elected to purchase a new purpose built 5 bay building, with a main transport office, three supplementary offices, kitchen, toilets (including disabled), and store room.

We have just completed the installation (signed off as “staff excellent” by the director, incidentally). Now the company have  gleaming new premises, providing a really pleasant working environment which reflects their investment in staff well being.

Our contractors have just started on site, laying a temporary road across the playing field, and marking out the building foundations that are to be dug. The building will literally be “on track” shortly!

All of the plant machinery is now arriving on site to complete this phase.

The 16 section double storey new manufactured modular building is for Kingsley Special Academy. The building has bespoke high level windows to suit the specific focused educational use. It will be delivered in 2 weeks after the foundations have cured and the ground works have been completed.

This building has been constructed to very specific requirements, and illustrates our ability and flexibility in creating buildings to our customer’s bespoke individual specification.

KR Steel at Ellon, near Aberdeen, needed new office accommodation as soon as possible, and were delighted that we could supply a new 2 bay Clearview from stock.

They were particularly impressed by the aesthetics of our Clearview range and requested extra modifications, the first being a mirror image of floor to ceiling Clearview windows to be installed on the other side of the building… allowing even more light to pour in to this already light and airy modular building.

They also asked for a pre-owned refurbished toilet and kitchenette to be linked to the main building. These alterations were completed, and the building was successfully delivered up to Scotland within a calendar month of the original order. That’s an impressive response time!

It’s an extended 400 mile drive up to Ellon from our site, but the installation was completed without a hitch the following day. We are always delighted when we can respond so quickly, especially as there were extensive modifications incorporated into this building.

As in this instance, we are always happy to adapt stock buildings to match your particular requirements. The delivery time may not be quite as short as with this purchase, but the quality of our accommodation and service will always be there.

As mentioned in an earlier July blog, CPES had gone on to order a second building from us.

This new Clearview building has now been successfully delivered and installed. Their chosen colour combination of goose wing grey and tartan blue looks particularly stunning, as can be seen from the accompanying photograph.

Halder Properties were looking for a high quality, aesthetically pleasing addition to their existing brick building. We happened to have just bought back one of the first of our recent Clearview range of buildings from a transport company, and this 2 bay building fitted Halder’s requirements exactly.

We were asked to put a link section through to their existing brick building, and the resulting brick build and modular combination has delighted all the staff at Halder.
