Supervising civilian manager, RAF Lyneham closure programme

A company in Bath was instructed to clear the RAF Lyneham site, which contained some good quality used modular and portable buildings suitable for recycling. Company employees don't always think that we would be interested in such buildings at short notice, or alternatively they may think that there may be simply too many units to interest a single company like ours. However, it always pays to contact us, as you could well gain money for buildings which you would otherwise disregard.

Fortunately, the company had retained our "We buy buildings" flier, so we quickly and professionally assessed the whole very extensive and varied array of jack leg cabins and modular buildings which were destined for removal at RAF Lyneham. The base was to be closed imminently, and removal and purchase was necessary within just two to three weeks.

Portable Building Sales has the logistical capacity to work safely to remove buildings to these tight timescales, even when a considerable number of buildings are involved. In this case we confirmed our interest in the original enquiry, and met at RAF Lyneham to inspect and assess purchase and safe removal of the buildings.

The company agreed our valuations, so the whole squadron of buildings took flight on 36 wagons back to our site in East Yorkshire for reconfiguration, refurbishment and recycling. We have breathed new life into the whole collection, and some are already providing essential extra accommodation in settings across the country.

This is no single "pilot scheme" on our part, as we are always prepared to assess and purchase buildings that you may have no current requirement for. Why not contact us about your surplus buildings?
